As well as Head of Venture at Founders Factory Africa, Lwazi is the female Founder of @HerQuarters ( HQ), a pioneering Africa’s first social, capital, market for pan African women founders of colour across the continent . HQ is democratizing access to capital, knowledge and markets for pan African women of colour. Designed to address the gaps in access to knowledge, capital and markets often faced by pan African women founders of colour.
Extra curricular experience:
Impact Investment Exchange (IIX Global), SA Chapter Founder – pioneering Africa’s first Womens’ Livelihood Income Bond - a $10m fixed income security with a dual focus on social and financial returns, aimed at mobilizing private capital towards pan African Female Entrepreneurs addressing one or more of the SDGs across the continent.
WLB1 Singapore mobilized $8m towards early stage high impact entrepreneurs. First financial instrument of its kind to be listed on the Singapore stock exchange and winner of the Oslo Business for Peace Award in 2017 ( “Nobel prize for business”)
| National policy contributor to the "Women In Finance" regulatory framework aimed at unlocking more capital towards women and girls in partnership with the GMT, DBSA, PIC and provincial government

Lwazi was the lead investment officer at one of South Africa’s largest Investment Holdings Firms, and hold over seven years’ experience in Aerospace and Energy finance, business development and future tech at one of the world’s leading Aerospace and Energy Manufacturers in the US and UK, managing a portfolio size of USD $3bn.
