Acre is rebuilding the UK’s £1.4 trillion mortgage market from the ground up. We want to take the friction, pain and time out of the process of buying a house - a slow and frustrating experience over a million homebuyers undergo every year.
We’ve been working with brokers, lenders and insurers for the past year to understand what makes the current process so difficult, and now we’ve received £5m backing from Aviva, alongside an exclusive partnership with Sesame Bankhall Group (SBG), one of the UK’s largest distributors of financial advice.
A key part of the home buying process is Insurance. Homeowners are required to have their property insured and the current process consists of 100+ questions about your door locks, window shapes and how close is the nearest tree. It is completely out of touch and unnecessary. There are a vast number of 3rd party data providers who can help us bypass these questions and provide a seamless experience for the home buyer and broker. Additionally the protection (Life, Critical illness cover and Income protection) market needs a lot of attention.
You'll be part of a growing Product Team, with an initial focus on our Insurance products. You'll be collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across Operations, Development and Sales teams to identify key areas for improvement, draft solutions, prioritise them and then communicate those solutions to the engineering team.
