    A rare opportunity for an ambitious UK-qualified lawyer to build upon and stretch their legal training in private practice while taking on business-side responsibilities in one of Europe’s most ambitious companies in the early-stage fast-growth technology space. Together with some of the most forward-thinking corporates, Founders Factory is in the process of building and accelerating 200 early stage technology businesses. This is a broad and exciting role with the opportunity to help define and implement FF’s legal and business future. As a Legal Associate, you will support the team invest in, and secure investment for, its portfolio companies, as well as manage legal processes in our rapidly-expanding business. You will provide legal mentorship to our portfolio companies, as well as help manage relationships with FF’s investors, and build scalable corporate development operations.

    💥 Responsibilities

    • Help with deal making & documentation in closing investment into companies joining the FF Accelerator, and structuring hive-outs from the FF incubator;
    • Mentoring advice on main terms of financing rounds including VC/angel investment, convertible notes and other;
    • Mentoring advice on commercial & other non-corporate agreements;
    • Running backend legal requirements.

    🙏Required

    • Newly qualified lawyer or experienced paralegal with top tier general corporate/M&A/investment experience, preferably including exposure to venture capital and/or angel investment. Ideally you will be NQ - 1 year PQE, however exceptional individuals at other levels will be considered.
    • Entrepreneurial outlook, comfortable working autonomously, exceptional technical skills and comfort with numerical complexity.
    • An understanding of, and empathy for, the tech startup ecosystem and startup founders.

    👌Preferred

    • Experience working with a large number of early stage technology companies, ideally through more than one investment round and across various different legal issues
    £45k plus equity package in a high growth startup
