    👋 Hey, We're Founders Factory

Founders Factory is improving the odds of startup success, empowering anyone to impact the world through entrepreneurship.

We’re changing the venture model, trusting our ability to make a real difference to the companies we invest in. Our platform gives entrepreneurs market access to multi-national corporates, and bespoke operational support from a big and brilliant team. This allows us to do things that don’t scale, tailoring a program to every startup that joins. Letting our startups tap into skills they need but can’t yet access.

All of this is funded by our corporate partners, but their role is not simply cash. They bring the best bits of their businesses to our startups - validation, distribution, insight and capital. These are ingredients that startups others don’t have, which is why you see startups here that can not exist anywhere else.

We’re here so founders who see the future differently get the skills they need to make it a reality. We’re proud to back founders others wouldn’t and we back ourselves to make them successful. We know the biggest impact comes from those that don’t fit the mould so we’ve made Founders Factory their home.

    💪The Opportunity

We're looking for a Venture Design Coach, someone capable of guiding talented individuals with little startup experience from idea to 'pitch-ready' in 6-8 weeks.

Founders Factory has a network of top talent called Hatch, a curated community of the world's most exceptional entrepreneurs. It’s where entrepreneurs, technologists and creatives come together to build groundbreaking new startups in our Incubator. Many members of Hatch are experts in their fields, but lack the skills and insight necessary to take their expertise and ideas and turn it into a viable startup.

That’s where you come in. You will work with talented first-time founders to help them shape, refine and articulate the thinking behind their new venture. Working largely with founders who lack deep expertise in technology or start-ups, you will guide them through a process where they can realise the full potential of their concept, coaching them from idea to ‘pitch-ready’ in 6-8 weeks. This will often mean combining your expertise in venture and product with founders’ insight and passion, taking an often nebulous idea and giving it a sense of clarity and an edge that helps it become a venture-backed business.

This is a unique role in a unique team in a unique business, and we’re excited at the possibility of working with someone who can help us break new ground in a new discipline.

Responsibilities - you will help founders:

    • Identify opportunities and white spaces in a given market
    • Define the target audience as well as their needs and wants
    • Shape the value proposition of the product
    • Ideate product and service features that will help deliver on the vision
    • Articulate an early go-to-market strategy
    • Assist the founder in designing early validation testing
    • Construct a pitch narrative and help design their product mockups and decks
    • Act as a mentor and interim co-founder throughout the process

    • You will also be acting as a champion for the Hatch programme within Founders Factory, including:

    • Owning the development of Hatch as a tangible Factory offer
    • Iterating on and codifying the Hatch venture development process
    • Engaging and leveraging the wider Factory team throughout the programme

    Requirements - you should:

    • Have a deep understanding of what makes a great business
    • Have experience in a product or venture design leadership role with strong coaching and people development ability
    • Be a firm believer in coaching over management, with the ability to encourage self-motivation, improvement and drive
    • Have a toolbox of frameworks and methodologies to turn to that helps people think through what it takes to design a new venture
    • Have high emotional intelligence and empathy for founders, whilst possessing the ability to guide and challenge at the right time
    • Be organised with a strong attention to detail and an ability to balance detail with the big picture.
    • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbalHave worked with a variety of products and industries in your career
    • Have solid product / graphic design chops
    • Be a self-starter and comfortable working with little direction or oversight
