    Buying a house is one of the biggest financial transactions a person can make, yet the process is slow, opaque and costly. We at Acre are going to change that by creating the first truly digital end-to-end mortgage in the UK. By completely re-imaging the process using data analytics and smart contracts on blockchain, we’ll be able to make getting a mortgage faster, less cumbersome, more certain, and ultimately cheaper. We have significant funding from a heavyweight in the UK financial market, which puts us in a unique position to execute on our vision and a clear path to reach customers.

    The role:
    We are looking for a DevOps Engineer that wants to help drive our production role-out. Your role will be to work closely with the CTO and the broader team to help ensure our CI pipeline is smooth, efficient and ensures quality; our production environment is performant, stable and secure; and we have the exception degree of insight and transparency into our operational environment.

    You will be highly motivated, be technology agnostic, and be passionate and proud of the work you produce. You be highly conscientious and have experience of how to minimize operational, security and performance risk.

    What you’ll be doing:
    As a key member of the engineering team you will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of the operational environment that delivers our product to users, keeps it secure and helps us understand its performance in the real world.

    During our software development life cycle, you will be expected to work with the frontend and backend engineering teams to ensure they are able to efficiently deliver software while meeting our software quality and security benchmarks.

    You'll also work closely with the CTO, to ensure we are able to meet our regulatory and broader audit requirements, ensuring in particular we are able to evidence our operational and development processes.

    Who you will be:
    Passionate about software engineering and about delivering a quality product.
    Have an experience with a range of infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform & Ansible.
    Have an understanding of information security principles, particular with respect to environment hardening.
    An understand of implementing monitoring and logging for security, operational and application performance management.
    Experience managing a CI pipeline and helping enable quality software delivery.
