What did you do before the factory?
Once upon a time, I was a lawyer in the City. I worked for a couple of major US law firms (primarily on private equity deals) before discovering the startup world. I spent a couple of years at rollonfriday.com, an infamous news and gossip platform for the legal profession, before joining equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs in 2012. As one of the very early hires, I helped scale the business and built and ran the Campaigns team.
What do you do at the factory?
I help put together investment deals for companies entering the Accelerator, spin out companies from the Incubator, try to help everyone through their legal challenges (or at least find someone better qualified to help), and also run Founders Factory's legal back end.
What makes you a good founder?
Knowing that I'm not one. But also knowing that I can help those who could be.
