What did you do before the factory?
I feel supremely privileged in the last 15 years to have sat on all sides of the table within the tech ecosystem – as an advisor, investor and operator. Prior to joining Founders Factory, I was COO at Qumin, a next generation marketing company with a sole focus on opening the world to China, where I was responsible for all group strategy, investment and operations. Before that, I led international expansion, fundraising and finance at Metail, a deep tech scale-up harvesting the power of computer vision and consumer data to make the fashion supply chain more efficient. Prior to getting my hands dirty in start-ups, I was a VC with Draper Esprit and worked at Credit Suisse and HSBC advising global corporates and SMEs on tech M&A and IPOs.
What do you do at the factory?
As part of the Strategic Development team, I provide full-stack venture fundraising support for all companies within our portfolio, from helping founders work out who they should be talking to, how they should be saying it, with what materials, to how they can navigate term sheets and ultimately get the money in the bank.
What makes you a good founder?
Always going for 10x, not 10%.
