What did you do before the factory?
Before joining the Factory, I was Head of Ecosystem at Startupbootcamp FinTech, a global startup accelerator program. My role involved building relationships with all stakeholders from investors and corporates to mentors, startups and government departments, developing brand awareness across the Financial Services ecosystem globally as well as managing portfolio companies, helping them with fundraising and new business opportunities. Previously I have helped to establish a handful of technology companies by heading product development and marketing. I’m also part of British Estonian Chamber of Commerce bridging the relationships between UK and Estonia.
What do you do at the factory?
As part of the investments team, I look after our selection of companies in the sectors of media and travel. I am responsible for identifying the most promising founders and analysing their business models. I am very passionate about building startup ecosystems and connecting people. When I’m not at my desk I’m either building new relationships, organise an event, write a blog or visit the best tech conferences to hunt for the best talent.
What makes you a good founder?
Having built quite a few startups I’ve learned a lot. Open mind, ready to change and learn something new every day. Passion and dedication.
