Investing in Claro AI—SLM-based AI knowledge infrastructure

The problem

Enterprises face critical challenges when trying to leverage unstructured data.

Most businesses today rely on outdated, fragmented data; many juggle Excel spreadsheets, inconsistent historical records, and manual data systems, leaving them with messy, incomplete data sets.

Processing such data is not only time-consuming and error-prone but also hinders objective decision-making and renders the information unfit for training AI models.

Even though Large Language Models (LLMs) offer vast capabilities, they often lack real-time context and user intent, resulting in inaccuracies, hallucinations, and inefficiencies when applied to sensitive, task-specific automation.

This misalignment can prevent businesses from fully capitalizing on the potential of AI

The solution

Claro AI is revolutionising the way enterprises extract value from their data by building an advanced AI knowledge infrastructure. The platform transforms messy, unstructured, and incomplete data into precise, actionable insights through a suite of tailor-made, highly accurate AI models.

Central to this is bridging the gap between the broad capabilities of LLMs, and the need for tailor-made, specialized Small Language Models (SLMs) that are trained and released to perform well on very specific tasks, such as text classification, extraction or enrich the data.

These are of huge value to enterprises—they’re personalised, accurate, quick to deploy, and don’t rely on giving up data to an external LLM.

Claro allows enterprises to seamlessly create SLMs in just a few clicks. The platform ingests diverse, unstructured data, automatically clustering this data, and then, based on the desired use case or strategy, selecting the best possible model from a range of over 100 custom SLMs.

Why we’re excited to invest

Edoardo Gentili, investor at Founders Factory, says: “Claro AI's approach aligns perfectly with two major trends we're seeing: the increasing demand for secure, customisable AI solutions in enterprise, and the shift towards more specialised, task-specific AI models. Their innovative Small Language Models (SLMs) address the limitations of Large Language Models, offering high accuracy and privacy-first solutions. With their easy-to-use platform for creating and deploying tailored SLMs, Claro AI is well-positioned to capture the growing market of businesses seeking effective AI integration without compromising on data security or performance. We believe Claro AI has the potential to lead the next wave of AI adoption, particularly among medium to large enterprises.”
