The Problem

Enterprises with 500 to 5,000 employees operating internationally face a connectivity problem that has never been properly solved. Managing mobile plans across multiple countries remains fragmented, costly, and operationally painful in ways that are easy to underestimate from the outside.

Every new country means a new provider, new contracts, new billing systems, and new compliance requirements. For IT and operations teams, the result is a global maze that consumes significant time and capital; not on strategic priorities, but on telecom administration.

The core issues are structural. Separate agreements, invoices, and account managers for every market. Hidden roaming charges, unexpected fees, and multi-year contracts that rarely reflect actual usage. And critically, zero unified visibility across regions, no single view of cost, usage, or compliance.

Traditional telecom providers cannot solve this. Their infrastructure and operating models are inherently local. Every geographic expansion requires more staff, more integrations, more billing reconciliation, and more support meaning costs scale linearly with geography. This structural inefficiency has prevented any incumbent from building a genuinely global model. The operational weight eventually collapses it.

The Solution

Telgea is building the world's first AI-native global telecom platform, a unified network that allows enterprises to manage local mobile connectivity across countries from a single interface, under a single commercial relationship.

Operating as a digital-first MVNO, Telgea partners with leading local carriers in each market while running its own agentic BSS/OSS system that automates 90% of traditional telecom operations, including provisioning, billing, support, and capacity management. This architecture replaces manual processes with intelligent automation, allowing Telgea to scale geographically without adding operational overhead, the structural inversion that incumbents have never been able to achieve.

For enterprise customers, the platform delivers unified mobile management across countries from a single interface, instant eSIM provisioning that connects employees within minutes rather than weeks, centralised billing with transparent standardised pricing that eliminates hidden fees and roaming costs, and open API integrations with HR, IT, and finance systems to automate onboarding, compliance, and device lifecycle management.

The commercial validation is clear. Customer testimonials confirm administrative cost reductions of 60 to 70%. Across the board, Telgea's platform is reducing telecom administration by up to 80% and total cost of ownership by up to 70%, delivering lower costs, faster deployment, and complete global visibility for the modern borderless workforce.

The team

Andreas Åfeldt Franke – Co-Founder & CEO

Andreas is a serial entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience scaling and exiting high-growth technology companies. Previously CFO and COO at Tipser, Apsis, and Innometrics, he scaled operations from early stage to over 1,000 employees, raised more than $500M in capital, and achieved three successful exits. He brings deep expertise in operational finance, organisational scaling, and commercial strategy — directly relevant to managing Telgea's rapid international expansion.

Theis Jensen – Co-Founder & CPO

Theis is the founder of Sani Nudge, a MedTech company scaled across 16 countries and successfully exited in 2023. He built operational infrastructure across regulated markets, reaching $2M ARR while managing a distributed team of 50. He brings hands-on experience in international market rollout, product development, and compliance – core capabilities for Telgea's multi-market execution model.

Why we’re excited to invest

Telgea sits at the intersection of enterprise infrastructure, AI automation, and the structural shift toward borderless working; a combination that creates a genuinely large and underserved market opportunity.

Edoardo Gentili, Investor at Founders Factory, says: "Telecom is a trillion-dollar industry that's fundamentally broken for global enterprises. The structural problem is that every country requires a new provider, a new contract, and a new system. Costs scale linearly with geography, so no incumbent has ever built a truly global solution. Telgea solves this with AI, automating 90% of what traditionally requires people and turning a people-heavy industry into software. What makes this work is the founding team. Andreas and Theis have already built and scaled companies globally across regulated markets. They understand what it takes to win at this scale. That combination of massive market opportunity, clean technical solution, and founders who've executed globally before is rare."

Why FastWeb + Vodafone Is Excited to Partner

Alessandro Magnino, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at Fastweb + Vodafone: “The way multinational companies use telecom has fundamentally changed. Our investment in Telgea, alongside Founders Factory, is a strategic move toward a future where operators collaborate to deliver a genuinely global experience for enterprise customers, leveraging Fastweb + Vodafone's nationwide network, technological infrastructure and commercial reach through a platform purpose-built for the multinational segment.”

What Telgea Is Looking to Get From the Partnership

"Founders Factory's decision to back Telgea — through their joint venture with Fastweb + Vodafone — is a meaningful endorsement of what we're building: an operator-grade, commercially serious, global telecom layer for multinational enterprises. Their conviction in our model, and the operator relationships they bring, are accelerating Telgea's path to becoming the unified global telecom layer multinationals have long needed."
