We’re excited to announce our investment in Venga, in partnership with Pico Group - a platform reimagining how communities gather, host and monetise real-world experiences.
The Problem
Communities have never been more connected digitally, yet hosting real-world experiences such as dinners, parties, meetups, brand activations, ticketed events, remains fragmented and clunky.
Most gatherings are still organised through a patchwork of tools: WhatsApp threads, spreadsheets, Eventbrite links, manual payment transfers, Instagram DMs. The truth is these systems weren’t built for hosting. They result in friction at every step, from managing guest lists, to collecting payments, coordinating logistics to updating attendees, and tracking no-shows to reconciling finances.
For organisers, particularly in Gen Z and millennial communities where culture moves fast and aesthetic matters, this friction compounds. Hosting becomes operationally heavy. Monetisation is limited. Scaling from small private gatherings to larger public events becomes complex. What should feel seamless and social actually feels administrative.
At the same time, brands and enterprises are doubling down on in-person experiences. Community-led growth, cultural moments and owned audiences are becoming strategic assets. But the infrastructure layer for hosting has not evolved to meet that demand.
There is no native operating system for gathering.

Venga is building the platform layer for modern hosting, a vertically integrated toolset that allows anyone to create, manage and monetise gatherings with ease.
At its core, Venga simplifies coordination with guest management, payments, ticketing, subscriptions, communication and real-time event logistics all in one place. What previously required multiple tools now happens seamlessly inside a single experience designed specifically for hosts.
Crucially, Venga understands that hosting today spans both private and public events. From curated dinners and community meetups to ticketed experiences and brand activations, the platform is architected to scale from intimate gatherings to enterprise-grade public events with complex payments and coordination needs.
Venga is not just solving logistics — it is unlocking monetisation. By embedding transaction infrastructure and community tools directly into the hosting flow, organisers can build sustainable event-driven businesses. Hosting becomes a repeatable engine, not a one-off effort.
In a world where culture is increasingly shaped offline but organised online, Venga is building the infrastructure that makes gathering effortless.
The team
Lucas von Hertzen (Co-Founder, CEO)Lucas is a serial builder who previously scaled Budbee as Deputy CEO from 10 to 500 employees and from €1M to €100M in revenue across Europe. With deep expertise across product, marketing, growth, operations, finance and fundraising, he brings operational discipline to scaling Venga from 25K users to millions. Having personally hosted over 1,000 IRL gatherings, he deeply understands the problem Venga is solving.
Erik Engervall (Co-Founder, CTO)Erik is a full-stack architect with experience at Klarna and Spotify, where he built and scaled products used by millions. At Spotify, he led technology initiatives; at Klarna, he shaped infrastructure during hypergrowth. He brings the technical horsepower to architect Venga’s platform from private events to enterprise-scale public events with complex ticketing, payments and real-time coordination.
Erik Nygren (Co-Founder, Head of Design)With over 20 years of experience at Truecaller (100M+ users), Klarna and Qasa (acquired by Schibsted), Erik specialises in crafting interfaces that balance utility with cultural resonance. In a Gen Z-driven ecosystem where aesthetics are not optional, he creates platforms users love enough to switch to — and evangelise.
Jonas von Hertzen (Co-Founder, COO/CPO)Jonas previously founded a yoga instructor booking and payments platform, gaining deep expertise in marketplace dynamics, community monetisation and transaction infrastructure. He brings operational excellence and product thinking to Venga’s monetisation layer as the company expands into ticketing, subscriptions and complex B2C/B2B payments.
Why we’re excited to invest
Venga sits at the intersection of community, commerce and culture; three forces that are increasingly converging in both consumer and enterprise markets.
As Founders Factory Investor, Edoardo Gentili explains:
“Every person on earth goes to events. Yet there's still no default platform for hosting them. The market is hiding in plain sight, fragmented across tools that were never built with events in mind. As real-world experiences become a core channel for both communities and brands, whoever owns the hosting layer owns the relationship. Venga is going after that position at exactly the right moment.”
Why Pico Is Excited to Partner
As part of this journey, Venga is partnering with Pico Group, a global leader in brand activation and experiential marketing.
Jack Chia, Vice President of Pico Global Brand Activation, shared:
“Today’s event innovation is driven by frictionless connection. Venga is redefining the hosting experience with intuitive tools that effortlessly brings communities together and leaves a lasting impression long after the lights go down. This investment reflects Pico's commitment to scaling agile platforms that empower organisers and captivate guests.”
What Venga Is Looking to Get From the Partnership
"We’re seeing a global shift back to real-world connection. People want to spend more quality time together with friends, and soon-to-be friends. At the same time, creators, brands and communities are recognising the value of creating those moments and being part of them. What’s missing is the infrastructure to make it happen seamlessly. Together with Pico we’re looking to accelerate that shift, combining their global reach with Venga’s platform for modern hosting, to enable more meaningful moments to happen at scale."
