As the business has matured, Aviva now offers Tembo as a product solution through their wealth management and financial advice networks, while Tembo has Aviva products embedded in its platform. Through rolling out with Aviva’s Workplace Pension Scheme, they’ve gained direct access to over 4 million customers. This partnership has helped establish Tembo as a one-stop-shop for homeowners, offering mortgage, home insurance, and life insurance all within its proposition.

With Richard at the centre of the project, we provided key technical support in helping him make his co-founder hires CPO Eddie and CTO Geoff, as well as CMO Polly Gilbert. This founding team has been fundamental in defining the direction of the business.

On fundraising, we helped Tembo tap into our investment network, with founder Richard pitching at our Investor Showcase and receiving investment from Ascension Ventures, Love Ventures, and McPike Family Office, among others. Not just this but Aviva Ventures led their seed round, and followed on in their Series A.

Tembo were successful in tapping into the reach of the Founders Factory network and portfolio. They’ve partnered with mortgage software solution Acre, who power their CRM, as well as numerous other portfolio businesses.
